'Navigating Autonomous Vehicle Technology' the impact and convenience this technology will have on area businesses and residents
Join fellow chamber members and local celebrities for our third discussion on the intriguing topic of where autonomous vehicle technology will take us in the very near future. Panelists will include:
Pierre Bourgin of NAVYA. A French company. Has produced an autonomous vehicle used at M-City, Las Vegas and in Australia. Navya has a production facility in Saline. It’s just released a ride-sharing autonomous taxi. He will talk about what’s possible right now in the world of these vehicles. https://navya.tech/en/about-navya/
Adela Spulber from the Center for Automotive Research. Among other things she will address the three things that will affect cities and municipalities planning for autonomous vehicles. www.cargroup.org
Seun Phillips from PlanetM. Planet M is the mobility brand of the state of Michigan. He’ll talk about why the state has created the PlanetM brand, why it is important to be at the table in this industry. PlanetM is a partnership of mobility organizations, communities, educational institutions, research and development, and government agencies working together to develop and deploy the mobility technologies driving the future. www.planetm.michiganbusiness.org
Panelists will present on several topics and will be on hand to answer questions from the audience. With Livingston County being home to many Tier 1 and Tier 2 manufacturing facilities who support the automotive industry, this topic will be more and more important for our county to be well-versed and highly knowledgeable.
Our emcee will be: Phil Santer of Ann Arbor SPARK
