Fundraising Coordinator
The Fundraising Coordinator position can either be a contractual or an employee. The fundraiser coordinator plans, executes, and manages initiatives to secure donations and financial support for RAIL. They are responsible for organizing events, cultivating donor relationships, researching prospects, and tracking metrics in databases. Supervised by the director of Recovery Advocates in Livingston.
Key responsibilities are:
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies and campaigns.
- Organize and oversee fundraising events and activities.
- Engage with donors, sponsors, and volunteers.
- Manage donor databases and track contributions.
- Prepare fundraising reports and analyze campaign performance.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote fundraising efforts.
- Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
- Previous experience in fundraising, event planning, or nonprofit sector.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in donor management software and MS Office.
Experience:
Two years to five years’ experience of developing planning, executing, and managing initiatives to secure donations and financial support for RAIL
. They are responsible for organizing events, cultivating donor relationships, researching prospects, and tracking metrics in databases. Developing relationships with community groups/agencies in partnership with others in the agency.
Requirements:
Possession of high school diploma or G.E.D is required. Must have two continuous years in recovery from addiction(s) with experience navigating treatment services and/or prevention; experience receiving publicly funded treatment and recovery services for addiction. One year of experience interacting with persons with substance use disorder required. Must possess the MDHHS Peer Recovery certification Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both orally and in writing is required. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use is required.
Physical Requirements
Job may require lifting light weight objects (1 to 10 pounds) with no repetitive bending or stooping. Occasionally lift average weight objects (1 to 10 pounds).

Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a Michigan State Police Clearance, county jail background check, Medicaid/Medicare verification, educational background check, verification of an acceptable work history and an acceptable Michigan driving record. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
