GLC Property Maintenance Celebrates 25 Years as a Family-Owned Business

HIGHLAND, MI — November 2026 — In 2001, Ron and Megan Ralko started GLC with a lawn trailer parked in their driveway. Twenty-five years later, the family-owned landscaping and property maintenance company is celebrating a milestone built on decades of hard work, dedicated employees, and relationships throughout Southeast Michigan.

What began as a small landscaping operation has grown into a company serving residential and commercial properties throughout Livingston and Oakland counties. Over the years, GLC has expanded its services to include landscape design and construction, residential landscape maintenance, commercial grounds management, and snow and ice management.

While much has changed since those early days, the company has remained locally owned and operated by the Ralko family.

"I've always tried to treat every customer like their house is my own home," said Ron Ralko, founder and owner of GLC. "That's really been our approach from the beginning. You show up, do the job right, and take care of people. We've been fortunate to have a lot of great employees and customers over the years, and I think those relationships are a big part of why we're still here 25 years later."

Today, the company continues to operate under Ron's leadership, with his son, Tyler Ralko, serving as general manager.

For Tyler, who joined the family business full-time in 2023, the anniversary is an opportunity to recognize the people who helped build GLC into what it is today.

"It's pretty incredible to look at where the company started compared to where it is today," said Tyler. "My parents put a lot into building this business, and there have been so many people who have been part of that journey. Twenty-five years doesn't happen without a lot of good people along the way."

As GLC celebrates its anniversary, the company remains focused on serving its customers, supporting its employees, and continuing the relationships that have helped sustain the business for the past quarter-century.
