Community Invited to Celebrate Granger’s 60th Anniversary
LANSING, Mich: The greater Lansing community is invited to celebrate Granger Waste Services’ 60th anniversary with a free evening of family-friendly fun at Granger Meadows Park on Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Captain Curby’s Touch-a-Truck Extravaganza features guided, hands-on interaction with Granger’s garbage trucks and landfill equipment. Attendees will also be able to meet Captain Curby, Granger’s beloved mascot, and enjoy free Quality Dairy cider and donuts.
Guests who would like to purchase refreshments can choose from multiple food trucks, including Shove It Pizza, Smash Shack and Big Cheezy Grill, along with carnival sweet treats from Mason Rail Time Adventures.
Bubbles R Fun will provide a bubble demonstration and bubble play stations, including huge bubbles and impressive bubble tricks. Yards games, historical and educational exhibits and a live DJ will round out the event.
“For 60 years, Granger has been keeping our communities clean,” says Keith L. Granger, chief executive officer. “This celebration is an opportunity for us to thank the residents of greater Lansing for their trust in us.”
Granger Meadows Park is located at 1245 Granger Meadows Ln, Lansing. Event parking and the touch-a-truck will be across from the main pavilion area at the east end of the park. All other attractions and activities will take place in the two main pavilions and the surrounding areas on the east end of the park.
