66th Annual Howell Melon Festival
August 13th-16th
Downtown Howell, MI
The Howell Melon Festival turns 66 this year! This annual community tradition celebrates Howell’s agricultural roots with headline events like the Howell Melon Run, live music, and of course delicious Howell Melon Ice Cream!
Thursday, August 13th is the grand opening of this year's Festival Tent! Join us on State St. in Downtown Howell for a night of FREE Pub Trivia (5:30pm-7:30pm) followed by Live Music by The Dimes (8pm-10pm).
Friday, August 14th the festival kicks off with the annual Howell Melon Run 5K and 1 Mile runs. The Howell Rotary Club will be selling Melon Ice Cream on the Courthouse Lawn and we’ll have food trucks set up on Walnut St. Be sure to stick around for the concert at the courthouse from the Livingston Arts Council and drinks at the festival tent on State St.!
Saturday, August 15th the festival kicks into full gear. Grand River will be closed down for our annual vendor show and we’ll have live music all day long at the Bank of Ann Arbor Mainstage. Be sure to check out other events/activities like the Einstein Dog Training Show, kids activities, sim racing, the classic car show, and of course Melon Ice Cream (while supplies last).
Sunday, August 16th is our final day of the festival. Grand River will be closed down for our annual vendor show and the Howell Farmer’s Market! We’ll have Mimosas served at the festival tent starting at 10am while supplies last as well as a painting class from a local artist. Be sure to check out everything we have going on at the Kids Melon Patch on Sunday including the Dinosaur Show, Bubble Party, and Slotcar Racing!
